JJS Empowerment is a family-run non-profit construction support organization dedicated to helping three boys pursue their dreams in the construction industry. With your help, we can provide the tools, training, and guidance they need to build a future they’ll be proud of.
ABOUT THE BOYS
JEREMY
ASPIRING PLUMBER
Jeremy has set his sights on becoming a skilled plumber. However, during the COVID-19 lockdown, he had to shield for health reasons, which caused him to fall behind in his studies. As a result, he struggled with his exams and unfortunately didn’t achieve the grades needed to secure a place on a college course.
Despite these challenges, Jeremy is eager to gain hands-on experience and training so he can pursue a meaningful career in the plumbing trade.
JAKE
ASPIRING ELECTRICIAN
Jake has always had a passion for working with his hands and dreams of becoming a fully qualified electrician. After successfully passing his school exams, he enrolled in a two-year electrical course at Norwich City College to pursue his goal. Unfortunately, due to staffing issues, he was frequently sent home as there were often no teachers available to deliver the lessons. Despite this setback, Jake remains determined to continue his training and build a stable career in the electrical trade.
SANDOR
ASPIRING BRICKLAYER
Sandor has always looked up to his dad, a dedicated bricklayer, and hopes to follow in his footsteps. School wasn’t a positive experience for him, he and his sister often faced unkind treatment from classmates, which made it difficult for him to stay engaged.
Despite these challenges, Sandor is eager to learn the trade and build a future doing the hands-on, meaningful work he’s grown up around.

Many teens today spend hours online, not by choice, but because real-world opportunities feel out of reach. We’re here to change that, to offer hands-on training, mentorship, and a path into meaningful work.
